Deptford X Tour was selected by lead artist Hew Locke and commissioned as part of Deptford X International Contemporary Art Festival [London. UK] in 2012. The tour followed on the fictitious narrative of the town hall tour, which was developed at MEANTIME Project Space whilst Artist in Residence between 2011-12. 2015
Deptford X Artwork Giveaway was selected by lead artist Janette Paris and commissions as part of Deptford X International Contemporary Art Festival [London. UK] in 2015. The artwork giveaway was placed on local Deptford related interest platforms and across numerous regional and national digital classified advertisement websites. This increasingly marginalised format references the Leaders of Men's nostalgic, slightly archaic temperament but again nods to a narcissistic level of self-importance. The works were created from the Leaders own Black Island Alphabet, a series of symbolic references that explore their own self-construction and romanticised notions. The limited edition statements declared love for Naturalism, Prince Charles and British Ram Ham Sandwiches.
