Artist/Curator/Gallerist Nathanial Pitt’s [Pitt Studio / Division of Labour] Action Research Residency was a collaborative proposal with Teacher of Art, Jonathan Kelham within the secondary educational context. The action research looked to explore the role of a public gallery space within comprehensive school and how children perceive space or the production of space' and was supported by Arts Council England, in partnership with play based [Reggio Emilia Approach] arts education organisation 5x5x5=creativity and Worcester County Council.

For the residency Pitt was based at the newly renovated John Bailey Gallery Space, in the Art Department. Through experiencing the daily dynamics of the college and gallery space contexts, Pitt looked to produce contemporary works and questions in response to and in collaboration with, those who had the potential to engage with this new space. Leading to the performance What Do We Want...Give Us An S...! [2012] at the Worcester Forth Plinth Project and subsequent documentation in the publication 5x5x5=creativity in Worcester [ed. P, Hay. 2012].
